Whatever your council’s type and size, there are many ways that it can contribute to and gain from international development.  All councils should take a strategic view of what kinds of activity they want to develop. Many don’t require huge levels of resources.

Actual council involvement can range from a relatively light touch role, primarily supporting others in its locality, to one that is more in-depth with direct council participation in activities. In this part of the toolkit we look at the practical steps involved in key activities.
